JSON-LD Continues to be Google’s Preferred Structured Data Markup Format

JSON-LD is the markup format which is most widely used today for markup. While Google still accepts all types of structured data formats, Google’s John Mueller has said that Google prefers that you use JSON-LD. He cites the possibility that in the future, some of the newer types of structured data will only be available in JSON-LD.

Google Includes Website Names In Mobile Search Results

Google has announced that URLs in search results will now feature a “better presentation” on the mobile search platform. This means that users will be able to view the breadcrumb path to see which page they are viewing. This isn’t just a cosmetic update, it has deeper SEO implications. It will give website owners a better reason to pay attention to the page name recommendations highlighted in Google’s best SEO practices.
